Wizard of Oz Ruby Slipper Cupcakes and Party Supplies

We were at a Wizard of Oz themed event yesterday and they had the most delicious Ruby Slipper cupcakes.

The cupcakes were a simple vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. On top was gold sugar and a red chocolate ruby slipper. Way cute and very yummy, too.

Adam Shankman Wants To Direct Wizard Of Oz Prequel | Disney Dreaming

Rumors have been flying ever since the news was released about the Wizard of Oz Prequel that Disney plans to work on about who will direct the film. It is believed that Sam Mendes is up for the role, as is Adam Shankman (who directed Miley Cyrus’ “Party In The USA” music video and produced her movie “The Last Song”).

Adam has apparently walked away from a project he was slated for in order to show Disney how serious he is about wanting the role.

The prequel movie is expected to be titled “The Great Powerful.” Who would you like to see directing in?

Disney “Wizard Of Oz” Prequel | Disney Dreaming

Word is that Disney is working on a “Wizard of Oz” prequel movie and that the studio is hoping that either Johnny Depp or Robert Downey, Jr. will agree to play the Wizard character.

While nothing is finalized yet, rumor has it that Disney has its eye on Baz Luhrmann for director.
