At that moment, all I could do was read that first sentence. I know it sounds super silly, but relief completely washed over me and intense excitement crept in. I was so worried I would not get accepted and over the past week I have realized I had to be patient in what God was forming and doing within the various teams. In that patience and in the absence of worries, God was moving in incredible ways. I cannot wait to go back to Appalachia and revisit the place that God had brought me only a few months ago. I know that God will bring people into the team that are amazing and He will form the group that He has planned forever. I am so pumped to be a co-leader with a guy who I hear is awesome and to get to know someone so well who seems to have an huge heart for missions. I can’t even describe the excitement that God is giving me in this time. It seems so far away, but if this year is any evidence of how next year will go, the time will fly by! Thank you for all who have supported me ALREADY! It is just incredible to see people encouraging me in this huge adventure that God is bringing me on and it is completely awesome!

Hola! Pablo, Pedro and Chloe reporting as our final day in beautiful Nicaragua comes to an end. A rowdy chorus of "All You Need is Love" can be heard from thenext room as our team clebrates our final night in Nicaragua with a lively Karaoke party. It's been an incredible journey and it's hard to believe we'll be on a plan home tomorrow. Our day began with the usual early morning, vaguely aware we were putting on our purple scrubs for the last time. After a hearty breakfast we visited a local hospital to drop off some medical supplies and received a quick tour of a Nicaraguan hospital. We spent the rest of the morning at a seniors' clinic in Masaya. All of the patients were delighted to see us and were grateful that we stopped by. One of our favourite patients announced that he had no problems. That was an easy case (heh, heh, heh). Another patient rattled off a long list of ailments and as we were puzzled over the diagnosis, his nurse arrived and declared that he had none of the above. Another patient came in just to give us some mangoes and then left. After a week in Nicaragua, the generosity of the locals never ceases to amaze...
